THE LIZARD CANARY ASSOCIATION CLASSIC 2009

The LCA held it’s 2009 Classic All Lizard show on the 25th of October in Nottingham, 145 lizards were benched . The birds were judged by John Martin and Norman Reeve both judges said they felt the bird could have done with a little more show training and felt the Gold’s were slightly better than the silvers but the overall quality of the exhibits on display was very good. Best in Show went to Stan Bolton with a Broken Cap Gold cock this bird had a  lovely straight dark spangles and a good depth of colour and dark legs & feet. Stan hasn’t won the classic for a number of years and it was great to see him win the classic again,  Stan’s team of birds have been performing well so far this show season. Second best also went to the Stan Bolton team with a nearly non cap silver hen, 3rd best Lizard and best Novice Lizard and breaking up a complete Bolton winning line-up was Chris Jordon. 4th and 5th best Lizard also went to the Bolton team.
Best Champion Over-year went to Albert Hallam and best Novice over-year went to Chris Jordon who had a good day in the Novice section.
